Perfect World.

I was lucky to be given a chance to attend Mt Adams leadership camp. I learned so much about myself and how to make an impact in such a short amount of time. It literally changed my life and made my year.
Camp was the perfect world. Everyone was willing to step out of their comfort zone and be open to complete strangers. High fiving and hugging and being there when someone was upset. Love was definatly not a feeling but what we all did.
I opened up to complete strangers (of Council E!!) and they helped me overcome my fears of trust and heights. I wish I could go back and be ME the first two days. I opened up too late and I regret the fun I could have been having. Camp was the most that I have ever stepped out of my comfort zone and I loved every minute of it. I even got closer to the people in my school. We all have said we will follow through with what we have learned at camp. I intend to do so. Even in the hardest of times.
I had so many people encourage me and influence me in that short week. My counselors and of course all of those who spoke when I was half awake at night. I am very sad that it was the first and last camp of my life, everyone in their highschool life should attend this camp. Just to see what a perfect world is like.
I hope that I influenced someone or helped make their time at camp special. With all the talks on a tough hike, the terrifying Wall, to the time I took to write letters to the ones that were my heroes, I hope they know how much they helped make me a better person and show me we can all change the world one step at a time.
Every waterfall starts with one drop. The smallest thing you can do can affect someone in the biggest way

I am sad that I didn't get to know you that week at camp, but I loved reading what you have written. You have such a great heart and I'm glad that you had such a great experience and learned so much here at Adams. What you said is the best thing that you can do; pass on what you've learned to others and change the world one step at a time. By being part of the Adams family and becoming so close to those there, you have already begun changing the world. I praise you for holding yourself accountable to follow through with all of this, and know that if you ever need anything, when times get hard or just to talk, any of us JCs or the SCs or all of the delegates will be here to talk to you, just look us up on your contact list =) Thank you so much for being a part of Mt. Adams this year Taylor and I hope you have an amazing school year, you can make a difference.
